A National Football Championship Comes to Los Angeles

In real football, having a "soft touch" is a really valued asset. Observe this clinical display by British import Robbie Keane and American home-grown Landon Donovan.

  1. Two of my four sons were there and the other two were watching in their home box seats. So for me, I can claim I was there!

  2. I love how they still feel the need to roll NFL stats on the bottom of the screen. Doc, I'm happy that you found joy in the Futbol game; there was no joy in section 202 last night in the swamps of Jersey. It was a hell of a long walk back to the car, and another hour down the Jersey Turnpike.

  3. Nice play. I need to get myself to an Antlers game. The stadium is just five miles from home.

  4. My condolences, Baydog. Maybe you would have preferred to have been in my wet and cold shoes. Before I came home to the Galaxy game, I had spent four hours in cold rain, racing our Laser-38 on an 11 mile course in 3-12 knots of wind on choppy water. I never would have gone had I not been in first place in the series. All we had to show was a 7th place finish which blew the series for us. Well, we also had the satisfaction of having manned-up.
