What's This?

Can anyone identify this boat? Sailing in Martha's Vineyard (in the foreground)?

  1. Herreshoff 31 Cat Ketch. It has wishbone booms. The mizen is smaller than the main, so you can't see it at this angle.

  2. The answer, my friends, is that this is a Wyliecat 30, my major league bucket boat. Unless I miss my guess, this is Lucky Ducky, sailing in Baydog's own waters!

  3. Sorry, Belladonna, but I'm more favorably inclined toward the Clipper Race. Look for me there!

  5. I hate to cover up this post with subsequent writing. That's a beautiful 30-ft Laser that can PHRF at 140, once I dial it in. But I can't come up with the scratch yet....

  6. Why didn't you take the day off and go on the King Harbor race?

  7. I hear the winds for this race were steady around 15 knots. However, as my ex-mainsheet trimmer always said, the problem with the King Harbor race is, that when you finish it, you are in King Harbor.
