What I Got

English Premier League Withdrawal Syndrome (EPLWS): A Self-Diagnosis

I feel groggier than usual...lacking the energy to get out of bed in the morning. In the mirror my eyes appear red and irritated. feel empty and unfulfilled. Checking with others with the same symptoms, I have concluded I am suffering from EPLWS. Effective therapy will not be available until sometime in August, around the 18th. In the meantime, nothing is available as a palliative, except Dodger Baseball, in small doses.

  1. Doc, it's not withdrawal symtons you are suffering from, it's too much rubbish football of the English variety, you need to find something more interesting to occupy yourself with.

  2. Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! Club champs of Europe!

    Euro 2012!

    World Cup Qualifying!

    Transfer news and rumors!

    Plenty to tide you over...

Draft day before you know it.

  3. The Lady-in-Charge wants me to step up and show up to do some chores. But I couldn't turn off the Dodgers today: hitting into double plays and committing dumb-ass errors, they still refused to lose and swept the Cards. With 5 starters injured, their winning has to be attributed to the manager. It's so hard not to watch them. What is championship basketball, and championship hockey compared to the Dodgers? I miss the EPL, but the Dodger are a great tonic!

    1. Hope you saw last night's game in Arizona. L.A. came back from a 6-1 deficit to win 8-7 in the last two innings.
