The only thing day-sailing today accomplished was to make me miss Das Boot even more. Playing mainsheet trimmer was a fun role only because I deeply heart everyone one on this emerging team. But a C&C does not represent the direction in which this old man needs to go. Got to light a fire under the diesel guy to get my project back one line: sailing and/or selling. Enough of this dragging at anchor!
Sayin' hi! How are you and the doberwoman doing? Fine, I trust. :) Say hello to the ocean for me....
ReplyDeleteThx 4 asking! Doberwoman is great. But she wasn't there for me on the beach a week ago when a pitbull puppy bit me bad enough on the ankle to send me to my physician's office for treatment. All Ballou wanted to know is why wasn't I tossing her tennis ball anymore? What's up with that?
DeleteA little quote I found inspirational.
ReplyDeleteLeonardo da Vinci: "Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works ... then you do something else. The trick is the doing something else."
Yes, Paula! The courage to make in-flight course corrections is the key. I can still afford to make mistakes. I just can't afford really biggies any more. (BTW: did Leonardo really use a word that could have translated into something like "stuff"?)
DeleteAnd I don't want to leave the impression that I have made any big mistakes in the past. Excepting maybe the first 30 or so years of my life, anyways....

ReplyDeleteI've gotten a little dinghy as I've aged. I like it. I keep the anchor stowed so it won't slow me down. Life shouldn't be a drag. :)
